For over a decade, USC students have met every Tuesday at 6:00PM to pack sack lunches (sandwich, fruit, donut, lemonade) and deliver them to Skid Row, the homeless dominated area on the outskirts of Downtown Los Angeles. This is a truly powerful ritual performed weekly – any and all are welcome to join us when they can. Contact Marrissa Chavez <firstname.lastname@example.org>, coordinator of Homeless Ministry for more information of how you can participate.
Throughout the year the Catholic Center welcomes several speakers from organizations such as Catholic Relief Services (CRS) to share their experiences with social justice throughout the world. Past topics have included human traffiking, African development projects, and sustainable architecture.
